Atchison, KS - April 24, 2019
Birthplace of Aviation Pioneer, Amelia Earhart and Home of the World's Smallest "UNOFFICAL" Presidential Library
 
Spend a spring day with the Primetime Social Club enjoying the scenic beauty, historical museums, beautiful architecture, trolley ride and small town charm of Atchison, Kansas. Our first stop will be the Atchison County Historical Museum featuring exhibits on Lewis & Clark, Atchison railroad history, the David Rice Atchison World's Smallest "unofficial" Presidential Museum and of course, Amelia Earhart. Our Lunch will be at a local restaurant followed by a trolley ride and visit to Amelia Earhart's birthplace and early childhood home located on a bluff overlooking the Missouri River. Our last stop will be a viewing of MURIEL, a one-of-a-kind plane tied to Amelia Earhart. Muriel, named for Earhart's sister, was moved to Atchison in the summer of 2016.

Both women and men will enjoy this trip's activities and the delicious "EAT LIKE A LOCAL" meals. If you love a great mystery, why not be part of one instead of just reading one! Each day will be like reading a new chapter in a mystery novel. All three nights will be spent at the same hotel.

Warm Springs Ranch - June 6, 2019
Home of the Budweiser Clydesdale Horses

We last visited the ranch in June 2015 and due to popular demand we are going back. Our day will start at the world headquarters of the Budweiser Clydesdale breeding operation, Warm Springs Ranch. It is a state-of-the-art facility on 300 acres in the rolling hills of Cooper County and home to more than 100 Clydesdales. Next we are off to have a box lunch at the New Visitor's Center & the River, Rails & Trails Museum. Our next activity will be the Mitchell Antique Motorcar Museum which displays an extensive collection of Antique Mitchell Motorcars from 1904 to the 1920's and wagons from the late 19th century. These two new Boonville museums have opened since our last visit in 2015. Our last stop will be the Boonville Souvenir & Gift store which sells Missouri made products. Please note: Trip Day is a Thursday.

All Shook Up! - July 2, 2019
Spend a rocking good time with the Primetime Social Club as we journey to Arrow Rock, MO to enjoy the music of the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley.
 
Our first stop will be for a fried chicken family style lunch at J. Huston Tavern. Then we are off to the Lyceum Theatre to see "ALL SHOOK UP" a musical set to the hits of the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley. It's 1955, and into a square little town in a square little state rides Chad, a guitar playing roustabout who changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that'll have you dancing in the aisles with such classics as "Heartbreak Hotel", "Jailhouse Rock" and "Don't Be Cruel".

Metro Area with Octave Chanute - July 31, 2019

Join the Primetime Social Club on a historical driving tour in and around the Kansas City Metro area with Special Step-on-Guide, Octave Chanute. Who is Octave Chanute? He was a civil engineer and an aviation pioneer. He designed and constructed the Kansas City Stockyards in 1871 and the Hannibal Railroad Bridge on 1869, which was the first bridge to cross the Missouri river in Kansas City. Octave Chanute was born on February 18, 1832 and died on November 23, 1910, but he will be back on July 31, 2019 to share his commentary with us on interesting Kansas City spots and famous Kansas City people.

There will only be four short stops on the trip for photo ops as well as a delicious BBQ Buffet Lunch at Jack Stack BBQ Freight House restaurant. To name a few spots and famous people we will see and hear about on the trip: Satchel Paige's grave, how the KC fountains began, Walt Disney's Laugh-O-Gram Studio, Union Station Massacre, City Market, President Truman's Haberdashery, Nell Donnally Reed's kidnapping and her multi-million dollar dress empire, Lewis & Clark campsite and many, many more!

Pioneer Women - Past & Present - August 20-22, 2019
The Primetime Seniors will be "On the Road" to Northern Oklahoma to enjoy a variety of activities in Ponca City and Pawhuska. On DAY ONE our activities will be lunch and tours of the E.W. Marland Estate. The Estate includes two homes (the Grand Home & the Palace on the Prairie) of E.W. Marland, an oil baron in the early 1900s. DAY TWO's activities will include tours of the Standing Bear Museum, the historic Poncan Theatre and the Pioneer Woman Museum which showcases the stories of Oklahoma's pioneering women and their influence on the development of the state. We will also have a special step-on-guide joining us for part of the day. On DAY THREE we will journey to Pawhuska to visit the Immaculate Conception Church, the Osage Tribal Museum and of course, Ree Drummond's Mercantile for lunch and shopping. Ree Drummond has one of the most popular cooking shows on the Food Network Television Channel.

Do you like a good mystery? Then hop on the bus with your Primetime friends to participate in a mystery instead of just reading one! Our day long journey will bring back fond memories and an opportunity to enjoy once again some of your favorite things in those memories.
 
We will be staying in town for this trip. Our departure time is 9:30am and return time is 4:30pm. There will be two activities on our trip as well as a delicious lunch at a famous restaurant. 3 States...1 Trip - October 23-25, 2019
Join the Primetime Seniors on this autumn trip as we journey to Joplin, MO, Baxter Springs, KS and Bella Vista, AR. We will be staying at the Drury Inn & Suites in Joplin. Day One activities include a visit to the Joplin History & Mineral Museum for lunch & a tour, cruising around Joplin on a narrated city bus tour with a step-on-guide to see the local sites such as the historic Murphysburg neighborhood, Bonnie & Clyde's apartment, Cunningham Park destroyed by the 2011 tornado & now a touching tribute to the 161 citizens who perished and then ending our day at Keltoi Winery with a wine tasting and catered meal. On Day Two we will journey to Baxter Springs, one of only three small towns on the 14-mile stretch of Route 66 in Kansas, which is the shortest amount of mile of any state the Mother Road went through. Our activities include the Rainbow Bridge, Baxter Springs Heritage Center & Museum, the old Riverton store and newly opened Decades of Wheels Museum. On Day Three we will journey to Bella Vista to spend the morning at the Simple Pleasures Event Center. Entering Simple Pleasures is like stepping right into a Norman Rockwell painting with a vintage American soda fountain, autos, neon advertising and 1920s to 1970s memorabilia. We will have catered lunch and entertainment before leaving this beautiful venue with its multiple waterfalls and overhanging trees.
