Autumn Road Trip to the Missouri River Towns of Leavenworth, KS and Weston, MO

Enjoy autumn's colorful landscapes as we journey north to Leavenworth, KS and Weston, MO to experience a variety of activities in these two historic small towns. We will start our day at Sis'Sweets Bakery in Leavenworth, KS, which was a senior favorite on our Leavenworth trip in March, 2016. We will then cross the Missouri River to visit the Holladay Distillery in Weston. Founded in 1856, the area for the distillery was chosen for the natural limestone springs that run underground. Our tour of the grounds and factory involves walking and steps. Lunch will be in Leavenworth at the Solarium Buffet Restaurant at the Frontier Conference Center on Fort Leavenworth. Our last stop of the day will be the Weston Red Bard where we will enjoy a hayride in a pumpkin patch (weather permitting) and free time to shop at their country store.

Celebrate the Holiday Season in America's "Christmas Tree City" Branson, MO

We will be seeing two of the most popular shows in Branson "Christmas with Irish Singer Daniel O'Donnell" and Clay Cooper's Country Express". On DAY ONE (Monday) we will go to Daniel O'Donnell's afternoon show. Starting at 2:00pm the three hour show has been completely redone for 2018. His new stage production will include Daniel singing Christmas favorites as well as other festive songs from across the decades. His long time singing partner, Mark Duff, will join Daniel and his bank, as well as local choirs. On DAY TWO (Tuesday) we will see "Clay Cooper's Country Express" morning show. This show won the "2017 Terry Musical Award for Best Show in Branson". This show is a favorite among the bus groups that visit Branson every November. After a leisurely evening dinner on DAY ONE we will do an expanded bus tour of all the Branson Holiday Lights. Branson is now promoting a "Christmas Tree Trail" in which businesses are displaying Christmas trees (natural/traditional/light/creative) all over town. On DAY ONE we will be having lunch at Lamberts, a senior favorite. On DAY TWO as we journey back to Lee's Summit we will make stops at Russell Stover's Candy and Osceola Cheese.

Step Back into Missouri History - March 28, 2019
Visit the home of Missouri's 20th Century Artist, Thomas Hart Benton and the Famous Arabia Steamboat Museum

Our first stop will be the Thomas Hart Benton home. Thomas Hart Benton is Missouri's most famous painter. He is best known for his large murals, and for his social historical paintings. Most American museums have examples of his work. After our Italian buffet lunch at Cascone's restaurant we are off to the Arabia Steamboat Museum. The Arabia Steamboat sank near Kansas City on September 5, 1856 carrying 200 tons of cargo. Lost for 132 years, it's recovery in 1988 was like finding King Tut's Tomb of the Missouri River.

Spend a rocking good time with the Primetime Social Club as we journey to Arrow Rock, MO to enjoy the music of the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley.
