Stimulus Payments (Economic Impact Payments)

The U.S. Federal Government is delivering a new round of  Stimulus Payments (Economic Impact Payments) to eligible Americans as part of an emergency Coronavirus Relief Package.

If you’re receiving payment by check, you can deposit your check using our mobile banking app or at one of our ATMs and get immediate confirmation that your deposit has been received for processing.

Why isn’t my direct deposit showing up in my account?
All direct deposit payments are posted to open accounts on the effective date set by the Treasury.

Where will I receive the payment?
Payments will be direct deposited into the same bank account reflected on your most recently filed tax return. 

Will I receive the payment to my account electronically?
If you are enrolled in Direct Deposit with the IRS and qualify for a stimulus payment, you may receive the funds in your account.

What happens if my direct deposit went to my closed account?
In the event that a payment is sent to a closed account, the IRS requires Security Bank of Kansas City to reject and return the payment. Visit the IRS website for more information on how to receive your payment.

I still haven’t received my payment. Where is it?
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is responsible for the timing, amount and distribution of these payments. The IRS has indicated that they have distributed all ACH/electronic payments associated with this new round of stimulus. Any further payments will be sent via paper check or prepaid debit card. Visit IRS Get my Payment to track the status of your payment.

How will I know when the payment arrives?
The quickest way to see if you have received the funds is to log into Online Banking, Mobile Banking or by using 24-Hour Telephone Banking at (913) 621-8441 or Toll-Free (844) 810-7603.

If I receive a paper check, how can I deposit it?
If you receive a paper stimulus check, you can conduct a Mobile Deposit using our Security Bank of Kansas City Mobile App, visit a Security Bank of Kansas City Drive Thru location, or use a Security Bank of Kansas City ATM to conduct a deposit.
