Disclosure: An overdraft occurs when we pay a transaction on your account even though you do not have enough money to cover the transaction. We may cover your overdrafts in two different ways: 1) using our standard overdraft practices that come with your account, or 2) using an overdraft portection plan that links to another checking or savings account, which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft practices. As a part of our standard overdraft practices, we do authorize and pay overdrafts for checks and other transactions using your checking account number and automatic bill payments. Beginning August 15, 2010, we will not authorize and pay overdrafts for ATM withdrawals and one-time debit card transactions without your consent. Even with your consent, we pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined. Under our standard overdraft practices, we will charge you a fee of $25.00 each time we pay an overdraft with a maximum fee limit of $125.00 per day.
No action is needed if you do NOT wish to authorize us to pay overdrafts for ATM withdrawals and everyday debit card transactions. ATM withdrawls and everyday debit card transactions will be declined if your account has insufficient funds. If you "opt-in" to this service and then change your mind, you can revoke "opt-out" your authorization anytime on or after August 15, 2010. The bank requires a resonable notice of two (2) business days to process an opt-in or opt-out request. |
